We try our best to provide you with information throughout the dance season in many different forms (email, handouts, signs and verbal communication), however you may have additional questions or concerns. Please feel free to contact your teacher, office staff or the Studio Director at any time during the year.

Registration:

Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.  We do not reserve spots for returning students and do not guarantee a spot for dancers who enroll later in the year.  All class placements are at the discretion of the instructor and/or Studio Director.

Start Date: Classes begin Saturday, September 9, 2023

All-Inclusive Tuition:

Dance tuition is a full season rate divided into nine (9) monthly installments. Tuition includes 32 weeks of classes, costume pieces or accessories (if needed), and two tickets to our spring recital performance.

45-60 Minute Class – $69 / month
75-105 Minute Class – $84 / month

Discounts available for students enrolled in multiple classes and multiple dancers within the same family. 10% off each additional class (first class full price, additional classes 10% discount).

Tuition is due the first of each month via autopay. Students with overdue accounts of more than a month will be unable to continue in class.

No refunds for tuition paid in advance, unless there is a medical reason the dancer cannot continue in class or other extenuating circumstance.

To receive multiple class or sibling tuition discounts, tuition must be paid in one payment (not in installments or separate checks).

Late Starts:  Dancers beginning 1 or 2 weeks late will pay a pro-rated tuition rate based on the number of weeks they have missed.

$25 fee for all returned checks.

Dropping or Changing Classes:

To drop a class or make changes to this registration, you must notify the studio via phone or email.  Otherwise you will remain enrolled and continue to be responsible for all tuition regardless of attendance.  Once you have notified the studio of dropping a class, no further tuition will be owed beyond the month that you’re in.  No refunds will be given for past tuition.

Class changes must be completed by December 1, 2023.

Absences: Any dancer may make-up a missed classes by “Zoom”ing into an appropriate level class - please call to schedule.

Extended Student Absences:  No refunds will be given for extended absences due to family vacations, sports, musicals, or other voluntary activities.  Please contact your teacher in advance as soon as you know of an expected extended absence.  Participation in class or recital after the absence will be allowed only at the discretion of your teacher and the Studio Director.  Extended absences with no notice may result in removal from the recital piece or adjustment of class level.

Once a student has begun the 2023 season, we cannot suspend tuition and still hold spots in class. Students taking extended absences must still pay full tuition to stay in their selected classes or may choose to drop the class for the rest of the semester.  Make-up classes for the extended absences may be allowed at the teacher’s discretion depending on appropriate level available classes.

Waiting Room Policies:

We are fortunate to be able to have a separate waiting area for families of our dancers, we ask that you please respect the space. No one should be in a dance studio without an ISD Staff member present. Please see our health protocols for waiting room operating status throughout the year.

Pick-Up / Drop-Off: Your dancer should wait INSIDE the building for pick-up. Due to staggered class schedules, pick-up should occur within 5 minutes of class ending to avoid cross-traffic in the lobby.

Recital Participation: We will continue to keep families informed of our recital plans for this year. Participation in the recital is optional, please let your teacher know if you do not plan to participate.

Dress Code:  Proper dance attire includes dance clothes and clean dance shoes.  Jeans, large jewelry and street shoes are not allowed. Shoulder-length hair and longer must be pulled back off the face.  Additional dress code requirements are necessary depending on dance style and teacher preference.  No cell phones, gum, food or drinks other than water in class.

Winter Weather & Studio Closings:  The dance year is based on 32 classes. Our calendar provides for more than 32 dance classes in the event of a snow day or power outage. Should the total number of snow days go beyond our extra classes, a make-up class will be offered during February or April Break.

Please note that while we do follow some of our local school districts’ Winter / Spring Break schedules, we do not close for every holiday that the school districts observe.

Class Cancellation:  We reserve the right to change or cancel classes due to low enrollment. If a class is cancelled a refund will be granted or alternate class suggested.

Family Dismissal:  We reserve the right to dismiss any families not complying with our policies and procedures.  If dismissed, a refund of any unused tuition will be granted.
