Kinderdance Kinderdance

(Ages 3-5) This class is designed to develop rhythm and coordination skills and introduce movement and music while stimulating the imagination. This beginner level class includes pre-ballet, tap and creative movement. Requires tap shoes, ballet slippers, leotard and tights. 45 MINUTE CLASS

Children's Tap & Jazz Children's Tap & Jazz

(Ages 5+) Offered at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. These combination classes build vocabulary and skills in tap, jazz and pre-ballet. Tap is the most highly recommended form of dance for children as the tap sounds add another dimension to dance making it more fun, and by offering instant rewards...they to hear the sounds they create from day one! The jazz/pre-ballet portion of the class gives the dancers technique and choreography that range from the classical forms to the funk and street styles of today. Requires tap shoes, jazz or ballet shoes, leotard and tights. 45-1½ HOUR CLASS

Ballet & Pointe Ballet & Pointe

(Ages 6+) Ballet is the basis of all dance forms, and has a formal structure to its classes and performances. It stresses discipline, balance and control. Because of the structure of the classes and the muscle development necessary to learn ballet properly, we do not recommend this for children under the age of 6. Ballet technique, barre and center work offered at all levels including pre-pointe and pointe for advanced students. Requires black leotard, pink tights, and ballet slippers or pointe shoes. All pointe students must also be enrolled in a ballet class. 45 MIN-1 HR CLASS

Our studio strives to teach our dancers all forms of jazz, from the Classical and Muscial Theatre Dance of the 40s and 50s, to the Funk and Street styles of today. Technique, warm-up, stretch/conditioning and jazz choreography. Jazz shoes, leotard, tights or dance pants required. 45 MIN-1 HR CLASS

Tap Technique Tap Technique

(Ages 9+) Offered for intermediate and advanced students. Tap is the most original form of American dance, where the participant acts as both dancer and musician. An audible form of dance, tap offers instant rewards... you hear the sounds you create from day one! Tap is also one of the best form of exercise for the adult, it is fun and energetic, but not as strenuous as other forms of dance. Technique, improvisation, rhythm tap and choreography. Adult classes offered in 8-week sessions. Leotard, tights or dance pants, tap shoes. 45 MIN-1 HR CLASS

A contemporary, free-style form of dance which integrates ballet vocabulary and movements. Created in the 1920's in hopes of finding further expression and new ways to move the body, modern is primarily danced in bare feet and encourages moving creatively through interpretation of music. Modern classes do not require previous ballet experience and are offered for intermediate dancers through advanced. Creative movement classes are a great introduction to movement, dance and modern dance. Requires leotard and footless tights or tight fitting top and dance pants. 45 MIN - 1 HR

Pilates Pilates

This is a technique invented 70 years ago by Joseph H. Pilates. According to The Pilates Studio, pilates (pronounced puh-LAH-teez) focuses on improving flexibility and strength for the overall body, but doesn't build bulk. Some of the first people to use pilates were legendary dancers Martha Graham and George Balanchine. More than just exercise, pilates are a series of controlled movements to engage one's body and mind. Pilates classes are offered in 6, 8 or 10-week sessions during the year and are taught by a certified Pilates instructor.
