The Isabelle School of Dance
In 1983, Barbara J. Hughes founded the Isabelle School of Dance in Schodack, New York. Over the past 26 years, we have expanded from a small one-room dance studio into two larger facilities with 18 staff members!
With studios in East Greenbush and West Sand Lake, the Isabelle School of Dance has introduced the joy of dance to thousands of local children of all ages and has helped them build confidence and make memories for over two decades. Although we continue to grow, the basic philosophy Barbara began with has continued to this day: We are a neighborhood dance school that promotes the appreciation and love of dance as an art form.
We offer creative movement classes for our youngest students and all levels of classes in tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, modern, pilates and adult classes. Learn to dance and have fun. Call us or stop by, get your smile on, and become a member of the Isabelle School of Dance family.

Our Mission
At the Isabelle School of Dance, we strongly believe that an education in dance and the performing arts is more than just "learning a few steps." A strong foundation in dance helps children and adults build confidence, develop social skills, and it promotes a passion for life and excellence. Our dancers are destined to succeed in all avenues of their lives.
It's what we believe in. The impact of our faculty reaches far beyond the classroom and dance studio. It is our philosophy that students of all ages should gain knowledge of dance, in all its forms, through quality instruction and most importantly, a lot of fun!

We encourage our dancers to develop a positive self-image through an environment nurtured by the dedication of our qualified staff. Dance provides students with an outlet for artistic expression and the encouragement to discover their own voice.
