Caitlyn Fraser (Ms. Cait)

Tap, Ballet, Modern, Competition & Children’s Classes
Following in her mother’s (Ms Barbara) footsteps, Caitlyn grew up in the studio, where she found her love for dance and a passion for teaching.  Caitlyn has been teaching for twelve years and has directed the studio for the past nine. Caitlyn holds a B.A. in Dance and a B.S. in Business/Accounting from the University at Buffalo.  At UB, Caitlyn performed with the Zodiaque Studio Dance Ensemble and as part of the “Dazzlers” Dance Team. In addition to her training at ISD and UB, she continues to enrich her education with master classes including Dancers Inc, Dance Olympus and Jump. She has also performed locally at choreographic festivals throughout New York, such as Troy Night Out (2010) with members of the Ellen Sinopoli dance company.   Most recently, Caitlyn has served at Columbia High School as Columbia Players’ choreographer since 2014, most recently choreographing “Sweet Charity” (2017) and “Anything Goes” (2016).


Ms. DawnMsDawn

Assistant Director
Tap, Jazz, Preschool Dance
Dawn has taught for the Isabelle School of Dance since its opening in 1983. She was locally educated in tap, jazz and ballet. She teaches all levels of tap and jazz to children and adults. Preschoolers love Miss Dawn! Dawn continues her education through master workshops including Dance Educators of America and Dance Olympus. Most recently, Dawn has led ISD’s involvement with Equestrian Dance Theater (“RIDE“) with choreographer Paula Josa-Jones.

Ms. SherryMs Sherry

West Sand Lake Manager
Tap, Jazz, Preschool Dance

Sherry is one of our original staff members and is a popular teacher with all ages of students! She has a background in preschool education as well as aerobics. Sherry is a certified aerobics teacher for the Town of North Greenbush and has instructed St. Jude’s after school program. She teaches an art class at a local nursing home where she has been a part-time Activities Director for many years. She is also an associate in the Individual Studies Department at Hudson Valley Community College. Sherry continuously attends a variety of dance workshops to further her education; her most recent was with choreographers Mia Michaels, Shane Sparks, Wade Robson, Chris Judd and Brian Friedman from “So You Think You Can Dance”.


Ms. AbbieMs Abbie

Ballet and Pointe, Competition Staff
Abbie has studied classical ballet for over twenty years. She began her training locally with former members of the NYC Ballet, and continued training throughout Colorado, Pennsylvania and NYC. Abbie has studied and performed with dancers from Dance Aspen, The New York City Ballet, The Lake Erie Ballet and American Ballet Theater. She completed her training at Mercyhurst College, where she majored in ballet performance. Abbie has been with Isabelle’s for seventeen years. When not at dance, you can find Abbie at her local organic spa and salon, “Blush“, which she owns and operates.


Ms. Becki

Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, Competition Staff
Becki is a former member of the ISD Competition team as well as a former assistant dance teacher. She is a graduate of the University at Buffalo with a B.A. in Communication and minor in Theatre and Human Resources. While at Buffalo, Becki was a member of the “Dazzlers” Dance Team, took classes with the University’s dance program and studied with renowned tap instructor, Matthew Clark (Buffalo, NY). Currently, she is the Assistant Director for Goff Middle Schools’ spring musicals.


Ms. Bryanna

Hip Hop, Competition Staff
Bryanna will be joining us for a third year as a full-time faculty member, after guest-teaching and choreographing for us for the past few years.  Bryanna is a graduate of Point Park University and a former member of the ISD Competition team as well as a former assistant dance teacher.  Most recently, Bryanna’s jazz and hip hop dances received honors at a local competition for her entertaining choreography.


Ms. Joelle

Tap & Jazz, Contemporary
Joelle is a senior in the dental hygiene program at Hudson Valley and began assisting Miss Sherry in Fall 2013. Joelle began her training under the tutelage of Caroline Beaty and Diane Labruzzo at the Dance Center of Queensbury. At the University of Vermont Joelle participated in contemporary and modern pieces with both the dance and theatre departments. She is looking forward to a productive year filled with creativity!

maryMs. Mary

Tap, Jazz, Preschool Dance, Competition Staff
Mary is a former student of ISD and has a master’s degree in Music Therapy and Music Education from Nazareth College. She teaches all levels of tap and jazz and is a favorite teacher of our preschoolers. She is also currently employed as a full-time music therapist with Questar. Mary integrates her love of music and rhythm into even her youngest classes.  Mary’s tap choreography is notorious for  intricate rhythms, tough technique and fast footwork. Mary’s tap choreography, including an a capella routine, have won special recognition at regional competitions.


Ms. McKenna

Tap & Jazz, Hip Hop
McKenna has been dancing with the Isabelle School of Dance since the age of four and is a former member of our Competition Team.  We are happy to have McKenna joining us for a 2nd year as a full-time faculty member after six years of assistant teaching and substitute teaching. McKenna currently attends Russell Sage College, pursuing her Masters in Occupational Therapy.  

Ms. Peg

Modern, Competition Staff
Peg holds a BFA in Dance and K-12 Education from Marymount Manhattan College, NYC. She is a former competition student of ISD and this will be her twelfth year on our staff. Peg has choreographed numerous award-winning pieces for our Competition Team and had been recognized for her outstanding and unique choreography at many local competitions. There is never a dull moment in Peg’s classes!


Ms. Rebecca

Intro to Dance, Children’s Classes, Hip Hop, Competition Staff

Rebecca is a former member of the ISD competition team as well as a former assistant teacher. This is her fourth year as a full time staff member at the studio. Rebecca is a graduate of The College of Saint Rose with a Dual Bachelors in Childhood and Special Education 1-6 along with a Masters in Science and Professional Special Education 7-12. During her time at Saint Rose, Rebecca served as the President of the Golden Knights Dance Team for two years. Working with children and dancing are two things Rebecca loves to do!

Renata16Ms. Renata

Ballet, Contemporary, Pointe, Competition Staff
A former student of ISD, Renata has taught at the studio for over 15 years, with a primary focus in ballet. Prior to ISD, Renata studied a combination of tap, jazz, ballet and pointe at a variety of different studios. She continues to stay refreshed in her dance training by taking master classes offered at workshops and local facilities taught by master teachers such as Miranda Weese, NYCB dancer Andrew Scordato, and former Bolshoi Ballet dancer Alexander Vetrov, to name a few. As a practicing artist and sculptor Renata also brings an artistic flair to her choreography for both the ISD competition team and her weekly classes through creative concepts, original costumes, and hand-crafted props.


Ms. Samantha

SamanthaBellTap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acro Instructor
We are excited to welcome Samantha to our ISD staff this year! Samantha danced since the age of 2 and competing since age 6 (High Performance Dance Center), earning top soloist awards at several competitions. Samantha has a background in various styles ranging from tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and pointe to hip hop, and musical theatre. For the last three years, Samantha taught at Tap to Toe Studio of Dance while attending college at SUNY Potsdam majoring in sociology with a minor in business.  Samantha frequently attends workshops to become better at what she does and to learn how to teach new styles such as introduction to Acro. Most recently, she had the opportunity to choreograph Potsdam High School’s spring production of “Crazy for You”. When not at the studio, Samantha is working towards a masters in Social Work through Simmons School of Social Work.  Samantha has a love and passion for teaching dance and working with kids and cannot wait to start the year teaching at the studio!

Ms. Stephanie

Ballet, Pointe Instructor
Stephanie began teaching dance as a teenager in New Jersey, where she trained under Eileen Juric. She received a BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase College where she taught for the Purchase Youth Ballet. She danced professionally in NYC, with Lydia Johnson Dance, Michael Mao Dance, and other ballet and modern companies. After years of performing professionally she began teaching full time. She has taught Ballet, Modern, Contemporary and Lyrical in schools in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Miss Stephanie’s goal is to inspire her students in the belief that classical technique is a gift that can elevate their abilities in all styles of dance. Injury prevention through knowledge of anatomy is emphasized in all of her classes. Miss Stephanie is excited to be part of the Isabelle School of Dance and looks forward to helping students grow as dancers.


Ms. Tallis

Modern, Musical Theater, Contemporary Instructor
Tallis is a former member of the ISD Competition Team. She is currently a student at the University of Albany pursuing Communications with minors in Environmental Science and Urban Planning. In addition to having performed in over two dozen musical theater productions, she choreographed “Once Upon a Stage” at Columbia High School for two years. We are excited to have Tallis back with us for her second season.

Ms. BethanyBethany

Competition Team Assistant, Summer Faculty – Ballet, Stretch & Strengthen,

Bethany danced at the Isabelle’s School of Dance for 15 years where she was member of the competition team. She is a recent graduate of The College at Brockport where she holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and Dance. While at Brockport she performed in several departmental shows including: DANCE/Hartwell, DANCE/Strasser, DANSCORE, and Sankofa. She was also fortunate enough to study Silvestre Technique in Brazil for three weeks and hopes this is just the beginning of her dancing career!

Cindi has been a part of our studio since her daughters (Ms Becki & Ms Sara) started dancing. Cindi has a background in pre-school and special education. Starting over 15 years ago as a seamstress and part-time office staff, Cindi has transformed our office into the organized place it is today!
