Children & Teen Classes
Children's Tap & Jazz
(Ages 5+) Offered at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. These combination classes build vocabulary and skills in tap, jazz and pre-ballet.
Tap is one of the most highly recommended form of dance for children as the tap sounds offer instant rewards...students hear the sounds they create from day one!
The jazz/pre-ballet portion of the class gives the dancers technique and choreography that ranges from classic technique to contemporary and street styles of today. Requires tap shoes, jazz or ballet shoes, leotard and tights.
45-90 MINUTE CLASS
Ballet & Pointe
(Ages 6+) Ballet is the basis of all dance forms and has a formal structure to its classes and performances. It stresses discipline, balance and control. Because of the structure of the classes and the muscle development necessary to learn ballet properly, we do not recommend this for children under the age of 6.
Ballet technique, barre and center work offered at all levels including pre-pointe and pointe for advanced students. Requires black leotard, pink tights, and ballet slippers or pointe shoes. All pointe students must also be enrolled in a ballet class. 45 MIN-1 HR CLASS
Jazz Technique
Offered for intermediate and advanced students. Jazz is a vigorous form of dance that emphasizes strength and flexibility of the body integrated with musicality. Our jazz classes introduce dancers to all forms of jazz, from the Classical and Musical Theatre Dance of the 40s and 50s, to the Lyrical, Contemporary and Street styles of today. Technique, warm-up, stretch/ conditioning and jazz choreography. Jazz shoes, leotard, tights or dance pants required.

An audible form of dance, tap offers instant rewards... you hear the sounds you create from day one! Tap is also one of the best form of exercise for the adult, it is fun and energetic, but not as strenuous as other forms of dance. Technique, improvisation, rhythm tap and choreography. Adult classes offered in 8-week sessions. Leotard, tights or dance pants, tap shoes. 45 MIN-1 HR CLASS

and encourages moving creatively through interpretation of music.
Modern classes do not require previous dance experience and are offered for beginniner dancers through advanced. Creative movement classes are a great introduction to movement, music, and dance. Requires leotard and footless tights or snug fitting top and dance pants.

A combination of modern, ballet and jazz, contemporary is an emerging dance style that has been popularized by TV shows such as "So You Think You Can Dance".
